My name is Anita Sandretto and I am currently finishing my last quarter of the MIT program here at Eastern. I spent the last year observing and student teaching in a 2nd grade classroom at Sunset Elementary in Airway Heights. I grew up in Red Lodge, Montana and received my undergrad degree from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, in Business Administration.

For my research project I think that option B will work best for me. Because I am looking at conducting my research on issues that affect my students a curriculum plan really would not work for me. I want to do a literature review to see what I can find as far as helping children with problems they may have at home and what has been tried and helped them at school. Also I am not currently working in a school so I am lacking that hands on experience as a resource.

1. How do socioeconomic factors affect students performance in school and what can be done to help these students in school.
2. The effect of children who read at home with their parents verses those who do not.
3. Prevention of social and emotional problems that can lead to eating disorders in young children.
